work this time is so.... different.
last year it was so slack and barely any pressure. i cud waste as much as 2 - 3 hours everyday just stoning, slacking and surfing the net, talking on msn. but this time it feels like a real intern.

working at the accounts department on the 5th floor. but sadly bcos there is no table available for me yet on the 5th floor, im being shooed around everywhere to sit at any empty desk of perm staff that are on leave/have not arrived yet.. and then getting shooed to another place when that staff comes. sad. and then there's my table at the 4th floor where i sat last year but then it is inconvenient because its too far from accts dept and the computers there dont have accounting software.

actually i must say i did learn quite a bit even in just two days of work. tried doing up simple audit expense schedules using the GL which is computer-generated. i took a super long time to understand the GL cos it was so messy and had a lot of codes and accruals. it didnt look in the least like the GLs we saw in AIS.. haha. but then i began to like to prepare these schedules bcos at least i could stay at the 4th floor and do them in a nicer environment. the GL also got easier to read after doing a few schedules.
today was the really tiring day. started off by doing one schedule for the financial controller but after that, i was asked to try to prepare the morning's deposit slips/checks from payments by debtors. and i kept writing the numbers wrongly. then there was some admin work of printing and filing, and then later updating the author master file using some accounting software. quite cool! but it gets super tiring and theres one whole stack to complete.. argh.

not sure whats going to come my way tomorrow. its been only two days but honestly i feel a little bit tired out already. maybe this is a real intern's life. haha. being pushed to learn within a very short time and with a very brief and quick explanation, having to figure out things yourself and be more thick-skinned.. keep asking the mentor again and again and again when you duno or do your work wrongly.

i almost forgot that harmoc concert is tomorrow. haha oops.
