work totally sucked today ): im so glad i didnt take up any admin jobs which i was desperately searching for in feb last year. i think if i did i would have died doing admin work. i was doing filing for about 7 hours out of the 9 hours of work today and i was at the verge of throwing the files at everybody in the office.. haha.
i enjoyed doing the matching of POs, even doing offsetting and updating masterfiles and preparing expense schedules. i think they are all very interesting. could be confusing/difficult to rmbr all the steps at the start when learning but after you get the hang of it it becomes simple and fun to do. compared to sorting and filing. yucks. the 30 - 40 cm high stack of payment vouchers and invoices is really a nightmare. sort them into the various banks and currencies, then sort according to the different files, then in numerical order, then slot them into the files one by one. totally disgusting! and there are like ten thousand different files everywhere in the office. i think 20 files for each of the 10 banks or something.. and the person just told me to find the files myself. and they are seriously all over the place. like some in cupboards (some cupboards are locked?!) some in random people's desk.. maybe shredding the documents when i cant find the file to file it in is a good idea. since i almost shredded a check for the company last week. hahahahaha. just kidding.

the financial controller keeps telling me that an accountant's job is all about paper documents and its not nice to do at all. the only rewarding thing is the salary is higher. but she says im gonna hate my work very much if i cannot stand documentation and so on.. actually so far i think its still alright. the only thing i hated was filing actually (ok thats part of documentation, just the saikang part) so well, hope its a good sign that im on the right path. haha.
